Many people think event coordination begins on the day of the event.
In reality, by the time the event day arrives, the most important decisions have already been made. The structure is in place, the team is aligned, and the systems supporting the event are already operating.
Why Protecting the Vision of an Event Matters
One thing I strongly believe is that protecting the vision of an event is one of the most strategic things you can do.
And when I say vision, I am not talking about the décor, the menu, or even the run of show. Those things matter, of course, but they are not the vision. The vision is the reason the event exists. It is the purpose behind the gathering. It is the why that should guide every decision from the earliest planning stages to the final guest experience.

Raquel John Events partnered with Kearie Daniel and the Black Women’s Institute for Health to produce The Voices Unheard: Canada’s First National Health Survey of Black Women, an elevated evening centered on storytelling, knowledge sharing, and the celebration of an important national milestone.
